Old-fashioned service - Modern technology

Real Estate Agent with HomeSmart Realty West CalBRE #01458572

Sometimes I'll find a business whose on-street marketing is so good that I want to use them as soon as possible. Today was such a day.

I was taking a shortcut, something that I enjoy doing because I always have my handy dandy Canon 550D camera with me, and there are a lot of interesting things to take pictures of when you slow down by taking a shortcut.

Does that make sense? ☺☻☻☺

Here is what I saw today:

On-street marketing for an auto repair shop

1930 California license plate

Can you guess what type of business this was?

Here's what was on the side of the door in the first picture above:

Door advertising

That has to be the best advertising I've ever seen for an automobile repair business.

Hi Russel-

It's great that it still runs! I think that the idea of "old fashioned service" is perennially appealing - even to those who love as shortcut!

By the way, is that a 1930 Model A Cabriolet?

They must do body work as well as engine work - that car is a beauty!  And if they restored it themselves, I agree that they couldn't have a better advertisement.  I'd go to them if I were in that area.

You have obviously learned one of the secrets of being able to post a plethora of fun AR blogs -- namely, to always have your camera nearby.  Nice job!

Hi Russel. This post reminded me of handwritten thank you cards. Considered "old fashioned" by some but still appreciated in this high-tech world.

Hey, everyone!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

I'm following up on these older posts like this one to see if anyone had any questions or if I really need to respond to anyone's comments.

I will read all the comments and respond to any that need a response, but since this post is rather old, rather than making comments here in my post to each and every one of you, I'll just let everyone know that I have read all the comments and if there are any questions, I'll answer those in comments below this one. Otherwise I'll simply post this comment and then head over to your blogs soon to visit and do some reading and commenting. I hope you'll have a nice welcome mat out for me!

Don't forget to let your cat come out to play with all the other ActiveRain kitties. Your cat-friendly dogs can come, too!

If you need a great cat book, get yourself a copy of Peg Silloway's The Cat Lover's Book of Days.

Hope all is well with everyone.
