It's been a long time coming...but my husband's website for his Ag news radio program is finally live! Larry has been hosting the most popular farm and ranch program in Texas, covering 100,000 square miles, for nearly 14 years. He took the show from a 15 minute spot on KKYX-680 AM to full hour and now thousands of top producers listen to his show every day from 12:05-1:00p.m.. If you are a farmer or rancher the show is essential for the latest market reports as well as auction prices. If you are a hobby farmer, wannabe, or are just interested in the rural lifestyle...there's no better place to get your news. "No brag, just fact", as my husband, Larry Marble often says on his program.
We started looking for a company to build a first class web site for his program a year ago. When I started researching what sites were already out there...I was amazed at how low budget the other Ag news sites were. It made sense in that the majority of farmers and ranchers don't use computers or the Internet to do their business. They are out riding fences, working their farms or taking their livestock to auction. There is little time for surfin the net.
In recent months, however, there has been an upturn in the use of the Internet by many of the top producers in the Ag industry. They are realizing that today's technology can help them do their job better and they can get the latest information by using their cell phones in their pickups or combines. Knowing that the trend would be going that way months ago...Larry decided to invest in making his site user friendly so that his listeners could still get the latest news...even if they missed the show. Once we found Gray Graphicsin San Antonio, TX, we realized we found the right company to capture what Down on the Farm Radio was all about and make a site that would be useful and informative for anyone who visited the site.
So, check it out and poke around...
