Located in a beautiful cove of Table Rock Lake are about 15 "Cape Cod" lake cottage homes in a subdivision called Stoney Point. I was over here taking shots of a foreclosure home coming on the market-(not in this neighborhood) but down the road, and thought of making a tour of Stoney Point, since we have sold a couple homes here before located on DD Hwy and Slane Chapel Rd.. Marlin Contance is the builder of all of these and actually we have his personal home for sale for $450,000 (pic below).
All of the homes in this cove have an amazing view, and are really built for second home living. The back of these homes actually have "walls" of glass windows to take in as much view as possible. Just driving past this home you can see in the picture here how the homes are built into the cove.
All of the homes have low maintenance siding and metal roofs, also low E glass for energy efficiency. Plus minimal grass to mow, with rock and natural landscaping. What about price? Ok, well for starters Marlin's home on the left, which is the largest one is $450,000, the others here have sold for $239,000 to $295,000, with a square ft range of 1600 to 2700 sq ft. Driving a little farther down Slane Chapel Rd, are these cottages on the left. The one with the green roof we had sold back in the summer of '08 for $259,000, it had 3 levels, a hot tub, screen porch, kind of a vacation dream home! The one on the right has never been on the market but it sure is cute, isn't it?
Driving all the way down Slane Chapel is a nice view of the water, this is perfect street for a bike ride or a walk in the evening, to watch the sunset. It's so quiet and peaceful here...Most owners have a golf cart to get around the lake or get to the boat docks just a mile away.
I wish more homes were for sale here in Stoney Point- There is one for sale by owner I talked to that is letting agents show, This home below is a 3 story with lake view, has very nice views and large, large windows...If you are shopping for a lake home in the Ozarks around Table Rock, please give me a call.
