Many good posts regarding agent availability have been written. YES, agents over the years have let voice message become part of their business planning. In a booming market, that is acceptable.....but not wise.
We forget about customer servicing, interacting with our like kind agents, and a chance to encourage, invest, and to feed into the "word of mouth" engine. I cannot over-emphasize the value of this enough......
The agent is and should be the "go to" source in Real Estate....... It starts with us and ends with us.........
For years, I have used a very effective marketing plan I wanted to share. It is called the Triple 7 policy. It is simply this.........I pledge to be available 7 days a week from 7 am to 7 pm........ 777.
Anything after or before is voluntary. I say that because sometimes after putting in a long day, I may still respond to emails or texts, but no phone calls.
I take live calls....yes...... you heard correctly LIVE CALLS....with the only exception being that I was on another call when someone called and I either do one of three things.
1. Quickly tell the other caller I will call them right back.
2. Let it go to message and then respond right after.
3. Or text or email that I will respond.
I have benefited immensely from this marketing strategy.......
A. Word of mouth is excellent. Being available is very much in demand in any business world.
B. I get business that my competitor just didn't respond to in a timely manner. It is that simple.
C. It makes my customer feel important. For what they are paying me, they are entitled to that.
D. I charge good money for all my services and no one balks considering the customer servicing is worth it.
E. My colleagues and associates comment all the time about how they were happy to get a hold of me. It was important to them. I like hearing that.
WHO DOESN'T LIKE TO SEE TRIPLE SEVENS 777 lined up?
It says you won......It promotes that I win too. It compels you to inquire just to test it........and that translates into $$$ for me and you. I get those opportunities and that is what advertising, marketing and market share is all about. I WANT AND RESPECT YOUR BUSINESS..............
