Buying a Home in Portland -- Consider a VA Property
The U.S. Dept. of Veternan Affairs is making it very advantageous when purchasing a VA owned property. And I have to interject that it's sad to me that someone lost their home. This is the down-side of the mortgage meltdown.
But, unlike quite a few bank owned properties, the VA has stepped up to offer their homes to buyers who qualify with some very lucrative terms.
If you're buying a home in Portland, you might consider VA property.
The flyer will explain the program. Highlights include:
Low interest rates
Seller (VA) may pay up to 6% in considerations
Open to ALL HOME BUYERS
Non-owner occupied properties considered
Multi-family properties considered
So, if you're thinking about buying a home in Portland, consider VA property.

Carla - I just recently found out about thisprogram.....from YOU! I looked into it a biut further and the work involved for financing is like any other loan. Good job sharing this!
Carla - I wrote a post about the Vendee program last fall (if which at the time seemed to good to be true). I just looked back and it has something like 2500 clicks - who knew! Glad to see you writing about it - it's really such a good deal!
Hi Renee -- congrats on the 700,000 pts!! Another milestone! I'll read it on Monday. So it's a wash . . . you implement Scribd, but wait on video. It's all good!!
Author Bio: Carla Muss-Jacobs is the Principal Broker/Owner of EBA Portland, LLC an Exclusive Buyer Agency representing Buyers in the Portland Metro real estate market since 1999.
The Sellers have their own agent ~~ Why don't you have yours?
Carla Muss-Jacobs practices the TRUE FORM of Buyer Agency ~~ Exclusive Buyer Agent. Her office/brokerage never takes listings and never respresents the Seller. Exclusive Buyer Agency is the BEST form of legal real estate representation a Buyer can have. There is 100% Buyer Representation - !00% of the Time. There are NO CONFLICTS OF INTEREST and there is no possibility of ever having YOUR Buyer Agency comprised. When buying a house -- it's important to know who is working for you!!

Hi Anna B -- now that's what I call a Motorcylce Gang Bunch!! If you want to link you post here, feel free!
I remember when VA loans were a pain to do. It's about time things get better.
Carla...This program sounds like it could be very attractive to many buyers. The upside is tremendous!
Hi Robert -- I actually bought my first home (when I was 19) using my then-husbanb's VA. It's a GREAT program!!
Hey Carra . . . Very good terms. They should offer these terms for all VA qualifying buyes, not only the VA REO's IMHO.
I used to know the exclusive vendor here but they revoked it from them and now IDK where they are now!
Very nice use of scribd. You just gave me a fab idea to implement......on Monday ;)
