I was there once too!!!

My husband and I moved to Orange County several years ago, when our family was young.  Our first was 2 yrs old, and the second was due any minute.  We "transplanted" from Bergen County, where we both grew up.  When it was time to start home shopping, we realized we would not be able to find anything big enough for our growing family, in Bergen county.... at least that we could afford.  After our first day out, with our wonderful realtor, looking at homes in OC, we knew this was where we wanted to be.  All the green and the mountain views from everywhere, caught our eyes and hearts almost instantly.  Once we found our home, and moved in, we were immediately struck by the sense of community and people helping people, all around us.  We felt like we found "home", and we definitely belonged here.  To this day, I have not regretted one single minute of living in Orange County.  We are driving distance to NYC, to the beach, to many, many lakes, hiking trails, parks, horses, farms, shopping, and any other form of entertainment and recreation anybody may crave. My children are growing up (so fast!!!), and our extended family of friends and neighbors grows all the time.  That means so much, when you don't have grandma or aunt sally just around the corner to help with occasional baby sitting, or even someone to have afternoon coffee with.  Because of my experience, I decided to get into real estate.  I love helping clients who are also "transplants", or first time home buyers, and even current homeowners who just want to upgrade to the home of their dreams, and also our mature adults, who are ready to downsize. By selling real estate I get to re-live vicariously through them, that feeling over and over again.  As an added bonus, many of my past clients, are now my friends, who I probably wouldn't have met, had I not been their realtor!  So, I can understand the many emotions and mixed feelings and stresses and satisfactions of buying a home, becasue I was there too. I never forget that when dealing with clients, and use that to try to make their experience as exciting and as positive as possible.
