Gananoque, On

Beginning on Canada Day, July 1st 2010 Susan Emo, Sales Representative with RE/MAX Riverview Realty Ltd in Gananoque, began donating $150.00 to chosen charities for every successful sale she makes.  The charitable contributions will be distributed as follows:

The first $50 will be donated to the The Gananoque & District Humane Society or another charity of Susan's
choosing such as The Linklater School Breakfast Club which feeds about 25-30 hungry Gananoque children
each morning and provides healthy snacks throughout the week.

 

(Susan's 82 year old Mother attended this school and holds the school dear to her heart even attending reunions!  Sadly, there is only a handful of them left.)

The remaining $100 will be given to the charity of her buyer/seller's choice.  All charities chosen must be registered non-profit agencies. If a client does not have a favourite charity, they can select from more of Susan's favourite charities below:

The Salvation Army - Gananoque: Offers individual and family counseling and emergency assistance such as food and clothing * also offers a soup kitchen 
FOOD BANK: Open to anyone in need & provides up to 4 days worth of non-perishable food * some meat and other perishables may be offered if available

Canadian Diabetes Association :  funding leading-edge diabetes research and produce globally recognized diabetes guidelines. They advocate on behalf of those affected and share the latest information with the public and the healthcare community.  
                                     

Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario:  a volunteer-based health charity, leads in eliminating heart disease and stroke and reducing their impact.

                            

and of course, Children's Miracle Network:   Since RE/MAX became Children's Miracle Network's exclusive real estate sponsor in 1992, RE/MAX Associates have raised more than $65 million for the charity.         

Susan Emo gives credit and thanks to Dr. Stacey-Ann Baugh in Maryland for her inspiration and fine example.  Giving back to the community is one more way of paying it forward.
