Just Keep Rolling with the Flow!

Do you ever think about that question?  What are we doing to make our life more complicated?  Or as the old saying goes are we taking our life to serious.  Lets take a minutes and think about some of the things we do to complicate our life.

1.  Can we control what Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac or FHA might do tomorrow?  I don't think so.  Maybe we should do what Charlie Rich said is a song from the 80's "Just keep on rolling with the flow".  I really thinks that's all we can do.

2.  Can we control what Wall Street will do tomorrow?  I don't think so.  We just simply can't control what happens but we can control our attitude.

3. Can we control the interest rates, credit scoring or the ever changing under writing guide lines.  No but we can lean to work with them.  It really is all a game. The people that achieve success in our business learn how to play within the rule. Nothing else.  It really is that simple.

Now let's think about just how simple life can be.  Life really is simple we Gusta make it complicated.

1.  A cup of coffee in the morning while you listen to the birds singing and watch the sun raise.  WOW what a feeling.

2.  You dogs (or any pet) setting in your lap and that love they have for you is so wonderful.

3.  A long lunch with a friend. Just talking and getting caught up.  Forgetting ever thing else that is going on.  Just how wonderful is that lunch.

4.  How about cooking dinner with friends and having a nice drink of wine while you talk about everything but business.

In closing and maybe the best --watching a beautiful Sunset with my wife on our boat at Heber Springs.  I think it's a slice of heaven.

Keep it simply and play the card as they are dealt.  You really can't control what happens just how you handle the moment.

Just keep rolling with the flow!

Michael, I think we have to make the most of where we are and that also means taking time to smell the flowers.  In the big picture it helps me to know that God is ultimately in control.

Marchel thanks for the comments and I agree.  Life is so short and sometimes we forget to smell the roses.ba

Boy Michael...you are bringing back memories...we listened to a lot of Charlie Rich when i was growing up....on the 8 tracks!  LOL

YOu are so right....I think we oftentimes get hung up on what can't or doesn't happen instead of focusing on what did happen good....and like Marchel said....God is in Control.....have to sometimes repeat that over adn oveer!   LOL

Michael:  You've got some great words of wisdom here.  Taking the time to take part in what he can control can be critical to our emotional well-being.  Thanks for some great ideas.  My kitty, Mollie T, especially thanks you for # 2.

My two favorite Charlie Rich songs were Behind Closed Doors and The Most Beautiful Girl.  I always enjoyed him.  Just "country enough."
