Dinosaurs! | Pearlridge Center on Oahu

By
Real Estate Agent with Liberty Homes RS-#62825

Shopping at Pearlridge Center has been one of my favorite places to go shopping.  With an array of shops, restaurants, theaters and more they always have some kind of educational exhibit going on for the children.

Well, when I went to Pearlridge to do a bit of shopping this past week, lo an behold....there were the Dinosaurs at Phase II of Pearlridge Center.  I was amazed how the two little toddlers were hanging out by the fence surrounding the display and they were't afraid of the roaring and moving dinosaurs!

Dinosaurs  is an educational program (FREE!) and started on June 18th and running through August 15th. Held during normal store hours: Monday through Saturday form 10am to 9pm and Sunday from 10am to 6pm with large robotic displays as well as hands on activities.

Enjoy the videos!

Sally - that's pretty cool, and malls seem to the right setting with all teh space AND to add some interest. I'm NOT a mall person, but I'd make an exception to see this. Jeff

Woo Hoo, Love the videos and you did a great job. Animation is so cool and it creates interest and can bring to kids a better understanding our the evolution of the planet.  Wonderful and very enjoyable. But even beyond that, when you came came upon it for the very first time, I can hear you laugh and that alone brings a smile.

William: Oh, I laughed and was amazed and stared...then pulled out the camera ... I'm still a big kid :)

Jeff: I'm not much of a mall person unless i have to go to a specific store....I went to Hallmark to see if they had any fairies....

Barb: Educational displays and such are a big thing around here. At our museum they have a specific building geared towards kids.

Judi...and call me when you do!

Irene: They sure do....the two little girls just stared...the dinosaur bent over and was right by them...pretty interesting.

Sally this looks like a great place but shopping centers are something that I try to avid especially with my wife. They tend to be painful experiences right around my back pocket.

Woo Hoo, Aren't most of us, if we would only admit, just big kids.Thankfully in this day we can still be responsible adults and still share the "Little Kid" in us. When I go to Epcot or Disneyland , the little kid in me comes out. We tire a bit faster but we also don't want to miss anything along the way.

I'll share a brief story with you that I love since it inspires me in my own day to day works. I grew up on Mickey Mouse and Walt himself has always been a real inspiration to me in the way he lived life. When he started out, he had no money, no job just his amazing way of expressing animation and capturing the world in the " what ifs" of animation.  His first job was as an illustrator for a Church's Sunday morning program. In the shack where he would have to work was a mouse that also called it home. Everyday it would reveal itself to him. He sketched an animation of that mouse and named it Mortimer. Walt's wife loved it but suggested something more simple like Mickey the Mouse. Thus, Mickey Mouse was born in adverse and hard time. When talent and capturing the imagination meet opportunity, Magic is created.  The rest is history. In our lives we must often look for the opportunity that aligns with our own talent(s). When find it, Magic for our lives is also born.

PS, I hoped everyone picks up on thet fact that as brillaint an illustrator as Walt was, it was his wife that made Mickey Mouse the icon it turned out to be. As they say, behind any great man's success is usually a women that gave him or at least nutured the idea.
