Speechless Sundays: The Capitol On A Rainy Day

The Capitol On A Rainy Day

Last winter, Washington area bloggers were writing about Snowmageddon.  Then last week, it was the heat wave.   Yesterday, after what seemed like weeks, we finally got some rain to cool things off a bit.

This is not a shot of the Capitol in yesterday's rain.  I just found this photo that I took on a dark day last fall.  And bottom line, I like the variety in the weather here.  It would be hard for me to adjust to having it be gorgeous most of the time - as in Florida and southern California!

Have a happy Sunday, whatever the weather is doing where you are!

I like change is season in New York just like Washington, DC.  It is more interesting.  This is a quote from my son who lives in California:  "The weather here is so boring.  Same thing everyday."

Hi Pat,

We are needing some of the wet stuff here too. Today seems just a tease...all overcast with nothing falling...

Son Alex has one more semester in Washington DC at GW and he has thought about the humidity that must be strong lately while he is in Maine working for a contractor for the summer. Lots of eye candy, photos on your end to post...keep 'em coming!

I could never live where there is no change of weather. It might be nice for a while, but I couldn't imagine not seeing a good thunderstorm or the change of colors in the fall.

Cool photo, Pat.That weather looks like the weather WE have been having in Socal since Saturday a week ago - no sun, except for a peek yesterday, in over a week.

We do get a fair amount of change in weather, although not as dramatic as other places. Even theleaves chnage colors!

Pat - I love the coloring of this photograph and I must admit it took me over a year to adjust to Florida's beautiful weather.

We too have been hit by a variety of weather patters so unusual for this time of the year. We have gotten rain almost ever day for the past 5 days...
