Sitting Eagle Meets Crow Chief

The following is a very fierce looking crow I met which was perched high on an eagle carving.

Both birds had that fierce look in their eye!

On this day, I was more intimidated by the one that decided to pay me a closer visit!

Hi Gerry, It appears that you were spared by Crow Chief since he let you keep your scalp this day LOL

Chief Crow must be related to Hitcocks "Birds". Glad you ducked

Gerry- What a great title!  Love the shot of the bird flying towards you.  Do you also have it in 3D???

Very nice...those are some real classic shots. The contrast in theme and image is spectacular.

In that top photo, Crow seems to be saying to Sitting Eagle, "I'm gonna be just like you when I grow up."

Mary,

I think that Crow Chief checked that I did not have much hair left on the top of my head and decided that it was not worth his time shaving my scalp.  :)

Brenda,

It did remind me a little bit of the Hitchcock birds but I was glad I only had to deal with only one here (at least only one bird that could move).  :)

John,

It was an interesting difference in theme and contrast to photograph!  Thank you for the comment.  :)

Myrl,

Thank you for adding some humor to the story.  I always love to find out the various interpretations that people make based on the same photo.  :)

Vegas Bob,

I am grateful that he did not harm me.  This was another one of those strange but friendly encounters.  However, there was no space ship nor any green color to try and recall.   Only black feathers and some impressive wood carving.  :)

Tomy and Darcy,

Those are very sharp looks coming from those eyes especially the yellow ones.  I am glad you noticed and impressed by Crow Chief's look.  That is the "don't mess with me" look.   :)

Sheldon,

He sure was the Boss here.   I am glad that his appearance in the last photo did not cause you any nightmares like that Big Bunny once did.  :)

Lori,

Whether he thought he was the king of the world I am not too sure but one thing is sure: he did like his observation deck from where he carefully observed me.  He must have thought that the perch was so high that it was the Top of the World, his world!  :)
