Realtor.com, pay or don't play..I can't even find myself!

Is it just me, or am I just noticing that I can't find myself on Realtor.com, unless I scroll through to the White Pages..which show no profile, no name, and one line of contact phone number after the office name?  I just got an e mail to update my profile, and funny..I don't have one.  Can't find myself by searching the area, although 221 other agents show up that are nowhere near my area.  Can't find myself by designations, by name or by office!  I did find my listings when I went into the specific zipcode, with one line showing th office name and phone number.  I am shocked they did not have another paying agents profile next to it, with their contact information.

When they advertise as the largest website for the countries listing, and insist that every other website in the country have broker reciprocity..where in the heck is their responsiblilty to the listing agent?  I am pretty ticked this morning..at one point I did pay to play, and found that the exorbitant price was not worth it..did not know I disappeared off the face of the earth as a result!

For the most part, I find realtor.com to be less than stellar. Keeping listing status updated is sketchy at best -- I am forever fielding calls from people who have found an active listing on realtor.com and called to see it only to be told that according to the mls system AND the listing agent it is no longer available and has not been available for some time. Makes for a frustrated caller. I have tried to resolve it with realtor.com, but they blew my concerns off and blamed the problem on my local mls.

I got a call from them the other day trying to sell me their "enhanced" profile or something.  I spent a lot of money with them a couple of years ago and never got one lead.  Thanks but no thanks.

Victoria,  I like realtor.com it's most everything else in life you get out of it what you put into it!  And concerning your 1st comment there is no question that Realtor.com provides the most upto date information on the web.  It's the fault of the local MLS system is the information is not correct and done timely.  Have your board read their contract with realtor.com it could be as simple as changing how often the info is updated from the Local MLS.

I pay for the enhanced version and it has my photo, all contact numbers, and email along with my web site.   It also has other listings shown that I have.    I got a call Friday off Realtor.com on one of my listings.    I believe when you list, this is pretty important!

I paid for the enhanced version of the site at a rate of 179.00 per month for a year, with not one call or lead. My website propogates to many, many free sites, Zillow, Trulia..for example..who update faster and more accurately then Realtor.com.

The disturbing part of this is that R.com is doing us a disservice, by advertising heavily as the place to look for listings and agents, then in turn not allowing the listing agent a presence without paying for what is supposed to be a member benefit.  I am not asking for an full enhancement, but if I can't find myself, there is an issue with their representation of a member who is also paying for the service, no matter how minimal they find my contribution!

The arguement that it is always our local mls that is not done timely seems to have been used for a very long time.  I find that my listings propogate out to all other venues rapidly from the local mls, within a day usually..so find that logic could be skewed?

just found this on the realtor.com site...when I rebuilt my profile...seems they 'lost' me completely!  "

Because you are a REALTOR®, you get your basic property promotion free on REALTOR.com®. However, your properties without your personal information are underrepresented"   Gee, at least they admit it.  I love paying dues to someone who admits to under represenation, but at least they are more honest then my current congressman!
