Thanks for the Leads Facebook

Alright fine you caught me Facebook itself didn't actually send me any leads, but it's certainly nice to wake up to an inbox with three real estate leads.  Two buyers and one potential seller.

There are certainly a few different schools of thought on using social media for business.  My school ofthought is that if you aren't using it you're being swept under the rug like bread crumbs from last nights dinner.

AR University did a webinar on using Facebook for business.  Are you sending your blogs to Facebook or alternatively posting them direct to your wall?  If not figure out how to do it.  When you do post them to Facebook are you changing the link text to generate more interest?  Posting things to Facebook doesn't mean anything if nobody is reading.

Have you developed a facebook business page that can be indexed by Google?  Are you sending your facebook and AR posts to twitter for more web dominance?

I can honestly say that 50% of my current business is being generated using Facebook in conjunction with AR and Wordpress.  I also monitor my news feed for any potential scenarios where I can provide my services.  Facebook is a marketing tool that should be capitalized upon.

Also consider adding a social media Icon to your signature that has a direct link to your facebook page (see below).

You never know where that next lead will come from, so use them all.

One lead is just as good as another, no matter where it came from.

I've been on Facebook since August 2009, but I still haven't figured out what it does, or what it is supposed to do, or how I am supposed to get it to do what I would like it to do. I'm not giving up, though.

Have you just started a new page?  I checked out the link and it looks like just 20 "likes".  Do you have multiple pages?  I do like the layout and format!

I have a personal page that gets most of the attention and leads.  I've tried promoting the business page but it's not doing much for me.  I use it more as a landing page for google searches.  Google searches don't index personal accounts so I post my blogs to the business page and my personal page.
