It's Like A Sport......Are You Having Fun Yet???

Just in case you somehow missed this featured post of Barbara Todaro's, I'm sending it out again. She rocks!

Real estate, more than any other profession, is a sport.  It requires an ethical approach in participation as well as a set of rules by which to operate.  This sport has more competition than a baseball season has pitches.

The skills and techniques for every aspect of our sport are continually being taught by a variety of promoters.  The methods of playing require the assistance of a coach or mentor.  Even the veteran players need coaching and mentoring.  Do we have drug enhanced participants?  Sometimes it seems like it!!!

Our pay scale could improve compared to the professional athlete, but we are at an advantage in that there is no cap on our age requirement.  The more seasoned the player, the better the results will be.  Our season is the longest....IT'S NEVER ENDING!!!

Lottie:  You and Barbara are definitely on the right track here ... although I would add that to many of us it's an addictive sport.  Once you've "scored" a success with it, you're hooked ...

Good for you, Lottie!  I wouldn't have caught it if not for you.  I'm watching the world Cup right now, and that's the top of that sport!

Lottie, great choice to re-blog! I love sports analogies so obviously agree. Laughed at the "drug enhanced" comment. Thanks!

Hi Amy -- glad you agree with my choice of a reblog!

Gene, it's just as easy getting hooked on real estate as it is on any sport!

Dagny, World Cup really caught people's attention, even here in the United States. With so many kids playing youth soccer, it's no wonder. Exciting sport!

Mary Kay - Barbara has a great way with words, doesn't she? Glad you enjoyed it.

Great points made by Barbara, and always good to reblog the good ones!   Good thing there are no age restrictions - some of us would be out of business!
