A Day with David Schweiker, Maricopa County Treasurer

Early this morning at our KW partners meeting, we had the pleasure to have David Schweikert, Maricopa County Treasurer, speak on how to research and purchase tax liens and about online auctions.

The information he provided to us was incredible.  He started talking about how there are thousands of homes that may not own their entire piece of land. They have supplied helpful information at: www.treasurer.maricopa.gov for your research purposes.  He stated they are working very hard to make sure the owners have the information to acquire the part of their property that was incorrect, however, as you may guess not every situation turns out for the best. 

 This could be a useful tool for your buyers & sellers to make sure they never run into these problems.  The website is a great tool and quite interesting to see what areas, homes, HOAs may be effected.
