On my other blog, I've been called Seinfeld-like for some of my observations... I was a New Yorker, I still feel like a New Yorker... I appreciate the compliment.

In tribute, here are ten Seinfeldian observations in Real Estate:

  1. You met a vicious realtor? Get outta here...
  2. Is it me... or do you also see Millions of Home Listing and FSBO Sites?
  3. We have so many immigrants flocking in, I say why don't we use Shipping Containers for Houses?
  4. Wait a minute... you're telling me this guy really built a structure in the back of his house to flip off his neighbor? OK, I buy that...
  5. Electronic signatures? Next thing you know everyone in America will need a tablet PC so they can balance their checkbook...
  6. For the life of me, why would anyone want to live in Russia? It's not because we want to escape the housing bubble...
  7. And how about Realtor.com? Since it's the official site of the NAR, wouldn't you think Realtor.com would have the best interests at heart for the Realtors?
  8. Tell you what... suppose Starbucks ran a Mortgage Brokerage...
  9. What's with Technorati Keyword Search? As a matter of fact, what the hell is Technorati?
  10. Yada yada yada - I counted the words - 23,909 - in an exchange worthy of a Seinfeld script (ummm, yeh)

I especially liked the Snopes confirmationn of the "flipping the bird" story.  Neighbor relations are not an exacting science and realistically once you buy the house, you're stuck with the neighbors.  The best you can do is hope they're reasonable!
