Friends of my husband decided to purchase new bikes for excise.

Needless to say they went out and bought two new bikes on Friday and were told to come back on Saturday to be fitted to the bikes.

Friday night my husband and I met up with them and they told us of this purchase. They also told us that they needed to be fitted on Saturday for the bike and clip-on shoes. I was wow, amazed at this.

The gentleman said that he did not want the clip-ons but the wife said it was a good idea. Well, with that being said. I asked him if I could make one comment. He of course said yes. I said, would you please, please think about well in advance to stopping that you want to stop and remember to remove your clip ons so you do not go down. He laughed at me and said sure. I do believe he did not understand the importance of that little piece of advice.

Well, Saturday night I get a phone call from him saying he fell once and his wife went down twice. Then he laughed and said now I understand what you were trying to tell me. His best comment was he was up one on his wife. At least he did not fall the same amount she did.
