It is unfortunate that some real estate owners in Hawaii are being working with an agent that is clearly not representing them well. They have no idea that they may have missed a potential buyer because their agent failed to either answer their phone, check their email or return a phone call.
This morning I had two showings, both of the homes were occupied by tenants. The sellers agent (same one for both properties) assured us that the tenants would be home and they would gladly let us in to view to view the properties. We were there at the agreed upon time and there was no response from property number one. Property number two said that nothing was coordinated with them and therefore they were not obligated to let us in.
We were extemely embarrased that our buyer drove all the way out and was unable to view either property. Why would an agent take a listing and then not give 100% effort to sell it? As we are in this business longer, we are learning which listing agents are the ones we can count on to answer calls and emails. Too bad for the rest of them that just don't know how lucky they are in this market to get a showing with all of the available properties.
