Fort Hood foreclosure sales have been fairly brisk for the first half of 2010. The closed sales tallied at 239 units, with 83 of those homes paid for in cash.
VA loans (81 units) financed the next largest segment of those foreclosed homes for sale, while conventional loans and FHA loanfinancing were just about tied for the remainder of the sales.
If you are planning on buying a foreclosure for sale in the Killeen Fort Hood Area, and you want to use your VA loan benefit, remember that the property must qualify for the loan. It must meet VA condition requirements. Not every foreclosed home for sale will qualify for a VA loan, so keep that in mind as you shop for your home in the Fort Hood real estate market.
