Today I reblogged an article about how B of A could be ripping off its customers. If they are breaking the law, they should be punished.

Remember when some Enron accountants and executives broke the law? The media had all of us up in arms about how they should all go to jail.

Whenever a business or an individual is ripping others off, there should be jail time involved. After all, the law is being broken, and other people are having to pay. Fair enough.

Why does it seem to be different, in some peoples minds, when the person breaking the law, and ripping off all of us taxpayers, is from Mexico?

Do not forget all the credit card companies that have made a monopoly on ripping off the consumers.  They have complete license to reduce limits, raise interest rates, charge unlimited fees and raise payments without consulting the consumers ability to pay.

Kevin,

Thank you for posting.

Let us not forget the illegal US companies, which hire the illegal Mexican immigrants, and the illegal US citizens, who take advantage of the low priced products made by the companies which use cheap illegal immigrant labor (or maybe the citizens are not illegal) and the illegal law makers who ignore all of this illegality.

You know, with proper enforcement of the laws, incarceration could be a booming business.

Times and the laws change and the more it's done the less things happen

I've always been annoyed by our double standard justice system. A kid robs a convenience store of $100 and he'll do jail time. A white collar scam rips off millions from investors, and the perpetrator might not do any time in jail.

Seems like you can buy your way out of getting indicted or convicted in this country.  Just look at what happens when some Hollywood actor goes on trial.  Or why didn't anyone go to jail as a result of the mortgage meltdown?  How come nobody from Fannie or Freddie is behind bars right now?

Force or Fraud... go to jail.  Abuse property rights... go to jail.  BTW, crossing a border illegally is violating property rights.

90% of crime is based on money.  Maybe, just maybe, money is the root cause of the worlds issues.  Hmmmmmm.....
