As summer comes to an end for many we are blessed to call Clearwater Florida home. We get to enjoy amazing Clearwater beaches here year-round. I got a new digital camera and decide to spend the day photographing Sand Key Park on Sand Key ~ Clearwater Beach, FL 33767
Sand Key Beach is home to fine sugar white sand and a large wide beach that's great for building sandcastles or just relaxing in the sun;
Sand Key has Clean and Healthy Beaches - you'll find water clear enough to snorkle in right off shore;
We have lots of wildlife and Sand Key Park is part of the Great Florida Bird Trail - enjoy a wide variety of birds;
There are currently 2 Turtle nests also found on the south end of the beach - for the endagered turtles;
Jet Skis and Parasailing is also available here
But nothing can beat the private beaches you can experience below......

David - Sand Key is a great beach with lots and lots of parking for locals and tourists alike. We're fortunate that Pinellas County has preserved so much green space since we're pretty much a built out county.
Steve - we really are - I'm always reminded how many families have to save all year just to visit for 1 week here. It's great living in tropical beach paradise - but then of course I'm partial :-)

Katerina - I used a "table" and all the instructions on how to do it in detail were supplied in a post by fellow member Kristal Kraft - look at her blog and find pictures and tables - let me know if you need more help.
Thesa - thanks for the kudos - I got a Canon Powershot 630 - I love it that it works off AA batteries and is easy to use but you can add a "wide angle lens" to it. I had an older version that I dropped last week :-( and I'm just thrilled with the photos - got lots more to post :-)
Sand Key Beach looks beautiful! I saw the video on YouTube today and it looks so peaceful. I somehow missed over this but I am glad I got back here to it. The photos are great and your little guy is adorable!
Your pictures are wonderful and remind me that I haven't been to the beach yet this summer. Guess I had better put it on my to-do list before summer ends. Great photos!
