Just launched a new improved website for CalgaryListings.com.

We decided to take a different approach with this site instead of the traditional template sites offered by the real estate web site companies. This is a custom wordpress theme. The nice theing about this site is that it is on the wordpress platform and allows for the ability to easy add edit and delete iformation instantly. I have never really been one for the template sites as then they look the same as most others in a world that it is already hard to have your own real estate brand.

Jenn Wilson at Agent Solutions customized the look and feel, and I think she did a fabulous job! She is on Active Rain if anyone needs her virtual assistance.

Take a look and provide any feedback, honestly is the best policy please!

I like it alot. I am trying to convince my office to use their WordPress blog as our main site and just add the pages like you have. Thanks for putting pictures to what I've been trying to explain to them! :)

Real Estate Made Easy

From a commercial viewpoint, I have heard infomation about wordpress blogs not ranking as well as say a perosnal blog or static website, so definately do your research before moving to a blog to ensure you are making the right decision for your site.

The tough part here, is that my MLS does not offer and IDX solution for Wordpress, so we had to program one ourselves.

Hmmm. I have an inside-real-estate.com one on the wordpress platform, and it has integrated IDX. I don't even have to pay extra because they plug into our RE/MAX one. I don't understand it all - you are probably more savvy at this than I! I will say that I am not a pro - especially when it comes to SEO - but my AR posts rank higher than my IRE.com ones, generally speaking...

p.s. If I ever get to Calgary to visit my friends/clients, you and I will do lunch and compare notes!

Sounds like a plan, I am always good for lunch... My sister in law lives in Austin and we go up once a year, so we could even do lunch at Chuy's maybe.!!

Wow it is almost Hatch season there, yum, I still have them in my freezer from lasy year when I brought a whole suitcase from Central Market home.

Crystal - presents a nice clean look many sites are so cluttered that you hardly know where to go ..... My web guy hubby is playing around with mine as it is a little cluttered for my liking although customer feed back is the like it as it is easy to navigate
