Living in Northridge is extremely out of this world; however a time comes when you want to get away, and have something exciting, and fun to do.
This is where The Griffith Observatory comes to mind. It is one of southern California`s leading attractions.
The Griffith Observatory is located in Griffith Park. It is a Planetarium, with various attractions, on the solar system, the universe, and the new Leonard Nimoy event Horizon Theater. It is very educational, and a fun filled day. In the past year it has reopen after a four year restoration.

Parking for the Griffith Observatory is at the Los Angeles Zoo. If you do plan to visit you do need to make a reservation.
