There's a tax free list for back to school shopping in Texas?  That's pretty progressive...that's really cool...i'm sure it's a zoo and possibly not worth the hassle, but it's still cool and a thoughtful gesture by the Government or people that voted for it...that's super cool...

Parts of NY have had that for many years. It's caused happiness for as long as I can remember. I'm glad you're able to take part as well. =).

Rondel-I was looking for the list before I posted but did not see it. I think this is basically clothing and school supplies with the addition of backpacks this year. Around here in the Waco area, it's really not that bad. Saturday is the worst though just like any shopping time.

Danielle--I was wondering what other states offered this. I spent so much time in and around the Military that I was kind of used to tax-free shopping, but since my husband retired and we are settled in a mostly non-military community, I do appreciate saving sales tax when I can.
