When the coast is clear...

Sunday night Jimmy Buffett and several of his friends did a free concert on the beach of Gulf Shores Alabama. The first part of concert was broadcast live on CMT. The television finale was a re written version of an old song of his titled "When the coast is clear".  This was an emotional moment and a beautiful rewrite.

When the coast is clear was the first collaboration between Jimmy Buffett and Mac MacAnally and appeared on the 1995 album "Floridays".  The original 1995 lyrics and the video from Sundays concert are below.

There was also a one line rewrite in "Margaritaville" Instead of "it's my own damn fault" it was changed to "it's all BP'S fault"
