Let me start out by saying sorry to all of my guy friends out there but I am fresh off of speaking at the National Women's Council of Realtors event last night in New York and I am starting to believe that women are just nicer than men. This is the second time that I have visited with the Realtors from this particular group and both times I have found them to be so caring, genuine and warm that it makes me want to keep going back again and again.
So... am I crazy or are women just nicer than men? It seems that with most men I have to break through their ego's and walls, etc before I can ever get down to the heart of the person and yet these women accept you with open arms right from the start. With most crowds you have to take a little bit of time to warm up to them before you get going with your presentation because, like all of us do, they are trying to decide early on if they like the person speaking and if they are worth listening to. Not the case in front of this crowd. I walked onto the stage with a smile on my face and ready to go because I didn't feel the usual walls that most have up.
This post is not meant to bash men, as I am one, but rather to compliment women, or at least the ones I came in contact with last night, for doing a great job welcoming me and making me feel at home in a place where, as the only man, could have been a very uncomfortable situation.
