Oh, I loved reading this:
Ashley followed the”fifteen minutes of fame” plan. She moved to LA, posed for a centerfold, and stayed away from jail. She moved back to Manhattan and is pondering a career in…real estate brokerage!
Ashley Dupre passed her real estate salesperson course at New York University. The call girl, turned centerfold, turned advice columnist, is about to add real estate brokerage to her career portfolio. You know what?
I think she'll be fabulous.
Jeff Dowler asked us whether representing a porn star would test the boundaries of good taste and ethics. Most of you stated that her money is as green as any buyers. I asked a few questions but believed the customers I might lose would be minor compared to the commission earned from the porn star and the customers I might gain from the notoriety of a famous client:
Here's something nobody addressed; what about your reputation in the community? Do you want to be known as the agents who brought the porn star into River City? Does that matter? If it does, how many customers might you have lost from the knowledge that you represented the porn star?
A $4,000,000 transaction would certainly balance the potential loss of business
PS- I'd do it in a heart beat.
How about Ashley Dupre. Manhattan Real Estate Broker? Logic should dicatate that the laissez-faire attitude taken to porn star representation should translate into a similar attitude towards Ms. Dupre as a member of the National Association of REALTORs. We'll see.
