The Senators, the Class AA affiliate of the Washington Senators, will be playing the Bowies Baysox, the Class AA affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles.

Minor league baseball dates in Harrisburg dates back 100 years to 1907. In 1952, the original Harrisburg Senators folded. The present team was started in 1987 as the Harrisburg Senators and has been Eastern League champions five times since. For several years the team was owned by the city of Harrisburg which purchased the team in 1996.
