The part of me that loves to find new toys, my alter ego, constantly in search of a better way to share my love of Long Island and its real estate with those who may not have been here before, I think I've found the perfect partner. This is my first test drive with it and I see so many applications for it in the future.

Geri the clarity is good, the sound is good...........too many starts and stops for me, not sure if it's my computer or the video, but great first effort.................the beginning of a new love affair for you! Well, I'm impressed at your first venture! You are going to be a great success at video blogging. I'll bet you can find dozens of subjects to create short videos on to post and hang off your website. I am really impressed at your confidence in spontaneously narrating. I've read the a couple of minutes is what we should shoot for in this little clips, so getting a tight set of comments is important. I'm going to check in to watch your progress.
Roger, it was crystal clear when it came out of the camcorder. Not sure if the transcoding they have to do to get it on YouTube degraded it. I will be playing with it for sure in the next few days. I've already got great plans for it.
Nothing will replace my favorite fella(s). I actually have two. I just think his brother is getting a little too old for me. he's nine. :) He's forsaking me for "the guys."
Leslie, thanks. I am going to try to keep them to just two to three minutes (ish). I want to keep their interest. My head is spinning with the possibilities. I hate when I get these lightbulb moments when I should be planning to fall into the arms of Morpheus. Looks like another short night.

Geri, you and me both. With my kids off school for the summer and now away at camp, the necessity to be up at 6:00 am is gone...and yet I still awake by 6:30 no matter what, so these late nights are taking a toll. So much to do and only the middle of the night to do it. But tomorrow I am going to try just narrating as I drive. I am a master talker, speech giver and chatterer -- no matter the subject, no expertise needed -- so I should be able to reel off two minutes driving through my neighborhood. Will try tomorrow....thanks for inspiration!
Geri: Great video. No starts and stops... it played all the way through very smoothly. So, not to worry. Very clear, your voice, your angelic, melodic voice came through very nicely. It's nice to hear what you sound like, and put a voice to the picture.
OK... is VADO a type of camera, or a brand name, or what. I really like the crispness, and love the wide-angle. I don't think it could have been better as far as your driving down your different expressways. Great job.
PS... went to You Tube and saw your Nose Butt video. What adorable puppies you have. And yes, it is easy to see that Mommy loves them. So, I could not tell from the video... what are their names ? I'd love to know. And, thanks for sharing your puppies. <smile>

No stops and starts this morning.........must have been something with my computer last night Geri. Nine could be getting a little old for you............well at least for him to admit it in front of the guys, but I bet nothing has changed when you're alone with him.
Karen, I love my Vado. I'd never even heard of it when I bought it. Just happened to tune in to HSN and saw it. Loved the demo, loved the wide angle and loved the price. Bought it knowing I could return it if I didn't like it. Now I suspect it will be my new obsession.
As for my puppies. I'm madly in love with them. I now have three havanese (Milo, Bailey & Ruby) and a much older Cagney & Lacey. They keep me busy.
BTW, the reviews on it are very good. I've seen side-by-sides with the Flip and a Samsung and liked this best.

Well that's a nice surprise. I have to find a way to rig the camera so it and I will be safe as I drive around. I wish they had an action tripod like the Flip does.
Looks very smooth to me. Get a mount before something bad happens! The sound is also very clear. Great job!
Thanks Jackie, I am looking for some secure mounting capability for it. There doesn't seem to be any such animal. I'll probably have to rig something up. Problem is, it has bo be relatively vibration free.
Geri, I have the Creative Vado also and love it. I researched all of the "Flip" type video cameras and decided on the Vado because of the Wide Angle Lens and great HD quality.

I agree with you Gary. I watched side-by-side tests of the various pocket camcorders and came away with a clear preference for the Vado. Unfortunately, if you read my latest post, you'll see I have to buy another. My little puppy decided she wanted to be a star and tried her hand at directing a video.
Quick question, do you ever use it in the car and if so do you mount it?
Geri, I am wondering if you bought your Vado at Best Buy, and bought the three year guarantee. If you did, your Vado would be replaced free, regardless of the fact that your doggie ruined it. At least that is what Best Buy has done for me when I bought something, and bought their usually-silly guarantee.
