What's Working Now?

By
Real Estate Agent with Peachtree Realty Group, LLC 163226

I was curious to find out what is working in the way of lead generation for  other real estate agents, besides personal referrals and SOI? I would like to hear about the good and the bad as well. What doesn't work is sometimes more important to know than what does. Are you doing Homes magazines, internet leads, etc?

David,

One thing that has been working for my realtor partners is market pentetration. Visit the link I have included. With this program, you can do change of address notifications for your buyers and they send it out to everyone they know and those people send it on as well to show others the house that your customer just bought. Great part about it is that it is branded with your photo, logo, and contact information. They can get access to all your other listings as well. This is super powerful. Let me know what you think.

David - your post may die out without much comment.  With so many people in AR - it happens.  I suggest you join THIS group....and post it in there. (Just hit edit on your blog after you join, then add it to the group).

I also suggest you look at other groups of interest.  The added exposure will probably assist in getting suggestions.

 Best of luck,  Rob

I am finding success helping my realtors by adding virtual tours for all their listings.  These tours can be uploaded to the MLS and Realtor.com.  Check out these links:

The only thing that has been working for me all summer is Blogging.  I have picked up a number of buyers through various blogs writen only for the local consumer.  Just put a contract in on a fairly high end home for a buyer who when we finally met told me that he has read about 20 of my blogs from various sources.

Other things;

0 contacts from mailings since May

0 viable clients from open houses since may

0 referals from SOI (though my SOI is very small)

It does show that Blogging for business does work.

Wish I had a magic bullet to offer you but the truth is that all my activities are slowing down. Maybe this is getting to a more normal pace. I know that there are a lot of hungry agents out there.

Eric & Saul - Thanks, I will check them out.

Rob - I appreciate the tip greatly.

James - That is quite encouraging!

Charles - I agree, every industry has a "shake out" at one point or another.
