Hi Gerry, Bear Trap Ranch looks like a great place to stay...oh for about a year or so!  I can imagine that this is one of those places that when you are there you don't ever want to leave.

Mary,

I am sure whoever decides to rent it for a week will want to extend their stay or come back to this beautiful ranch again.  I believe the rates are very reasonable for a ranch of this size (160 acres) which offers lots of privacy (as it backs to BLM/government land).   :)

Hello Gerry and some great photographs and it's like being there and walking and viewing the rooms & the surrounding are of Bear Trap Ranch.

Not sure how you know the man you are referring to.  He has never left the bar area since I have seen the first time!  :)

The bear sculpture is a bear caught in the beartrap (from which the ranch took its name).

Very cool.  Isn't it?  :)

Wow that looks like a cool place.  And the rates seem really reasonable to me too.  Have you stayed there?  Is it hard to get reservations?  Thanks for sharing, and as always your photos are wonderful!  ...geri     PS  The website is great too, easy to navigate, informative, etc...

Gerry, wow Beartrap Ranch is quite a place. I went out to the site and it was impressive as well.  The only thing I noticed was that on the ranch rental page some of the photos were superimposed of rental information...otherwise very professional.

Geri,

This is the first summer that the ranch became available and the rates are very attractive to get the word out and get people to book the ranch for a vacation and/or special events.  But, as the website states, rates are subject to change without notice.  I think whoever is booking this year is getting a great deal (a great price for this unique place and its size). 

It is not hard to make reservations.  It is as simple as calling them or visiting the website to book online.  They are also available for bookings through www.redlodge.com and www.visitbillings.com (the two nearby cities in Montana which have their own reservation system).  Currently, there are plenty of dates to chose from but it on a first come first serve basis.
