Facebook tough crowd.... are you using Facebook RIGHT?
I mean right as a real estate agent... speaking to real estate agents here. Is there a right way to use Facebook? A wrong way? Am I offending Friends without even knowing it?

" I appreciate your participation in Social Media on behalf of your clients, but you are aggravating me to death. If I have a referral in your area - you may be just the kind of person I want my folks to do business with, but we risk unconnecting in the close future if you don't learn how to stop being so obnoxious."
are you using Facebook RIGHT? Am I?
"STOP, You could be using facebook wrong! "
OK I am a real estate agent (I'd say REALTOR® but I try not to use the word... I am a real estate agent, licensed in Ohio... yes I am a member of NAR, OAR, CBR. ) I am a real estate licensee trying to use social media. I've constructed a highly convoluted system using local blogs, Twitterfeed, Notes, RSS. In 2008 I had something feeding something to Facebook and I looked remarkably life like. I heard it from more than one person. Problem was when a consumer asked me to show a home. I was not really on Facebook so I never got the request.. she called, it all was OK.
That was long before I really went to town with ActiveRain Outside blogs feeding Twitter feeding Facebook pages... (or is it the other way around?)
I am remarkably paranoid... when it comes to Facebook, Twitter etc. I don't want to be the dreaded REALTOR® spewing self promotion... I want to promote properties, open houses but I certainly don't want to be offensive to others in the industry or locals.
Face it though we all see things and wonder why is that in my mailbox? Or why is that on my wall? An open house? A rant? The 24th coupon for a local business? Some new online game, a "friend" is trying to launch? A real estate agent obsessing about how busy, busy, busy they are...
Friends, Friend's friends are you using Facebook RIGHT? Am I?
Michelle shared - How to use lists? - Friends: Friend Lists and Limited Profile
I learned about Facebook Groups from a post Missy Caulk did on ActiveRain just before I took an official class on using Facebook at Real Living University, taught by Dixie T. Last week talking to another agent in my office she told me about misinformation given in Real Living University training she went to... different instructor, different ideas about what is right. He said set up a professional profile and a personal profile...
How's a real estate agent to know? The teachers, advi$ors, gurus don't always get it right... it seems to change. No YOU could be using Facebook wrong
I am a real estate agent. Are open house invites flying out of my butt?
If you see one let me know...
ActiveRain, Twitter, FriendFeed, Facebook tough crowd.... are you using it all RIGHT?
