We all learn in business to network, use your close resources to the max and keep yourself out in our social groups as much as possible.

We also need to remember when we do this we surround ourselves with may different points of view, and some that really make us uncomfortable.

We need to realize that some who we see as a source of business can at times be a source of professional, personal and ethical detriment.

PLEASE remember that it is not always about the money, and remove yourself before you get sucked into a situation you do not want to be in or get out of.

I sleep well at night because I have made choices that on the surface seems like I am being rude, yet I make every effort to socialize with those who not only can be a business resource but more importantly an ethical match.

Daniel, I loved reading your post!  It is so crucial  to surround ourselves with as many positive people as we can.  Letting go of a client who is not aligned with you is far better then facing stress, frustration and anger down the road.  Your right money is not the only motivating factor, our health and happiness matters.

Dan ~ both on personal and professional levels, we need to be cognizant of those we allow into our circles.

It is a challenge to resist listening to people who are negative and seem to suck the life out of us. But it is worth it. Thanks for the reminder of this important truth.

Dan I hear ya. I have caught myself a few times maybe being a little over the top because I was passionate about a certain subject.

Cal,

I try not to jump off too soon, yet with the years of experience behind me I find that I at times I may jump the gun a bit too fast, a tough balance for sure.
