Kane County Fair in St. Charles: A Delicious Time Warp

By
Industry Observer with Swanepoel T3 Group

Why would you attend the Kane County Fair in St. Charles in 100 degree heat and the smell that only 100s of cows and sheep can produce under a tent? Why would you actively seek out the produce tents to admire potatoes? Why would you re-arrange your work schedule to attend the poultry judging contests, because in fact your familiarity with poultry stops with the Purdue label?

You should embrace this opportunity, because the Kane County Fair in St. Charles is a sweet trip back in time to a society that we used to be -- or that we hoped existed at one time -- and in many ways wish we still enjoyed. If nothing else, the Kane County Fair is an opportunity to indulge in corn dogs, sweet slushies and cotton candy while enjoying the rodeo or watching the kids spin themselves into a dizzy mess on the Tilt-A-Wheel

The Kane County Fair in St. Charles is in full swing for the next three days -- Friday, Saturday and Sunday -- so grab a sunhat and head out for some old-fashioned fun. Here's the schedule and the link to their website for more detail.

The Kane County Fairground in St. Charles is located at Randall Road and Route 38 on the west side of St. Charles, about 45 miles from Chicago. Click here for a Google Map and directions.

Leslie, that was simply outstanding!  You take what could have been a boring localism post (sorry folks, they just are boring sometimes) and turned it on its heel to make us laugh.  Out loud.  Great job being real and informative at the same time.
