Oy Vey!!!

Oy Vey!!!

Homeowners, can do the darnedest things can't they? An idea enters their noggin and the next thing you know, they're "hell bent for leather". Dogged determination is one thing, thinking further than the plug on the end of your power tool is another. <sigh> Oh well, what can I say? Watch that last step, it's a real doozie...

Watch that last step...

That would make a good ad for Home Depot. Need lumber or tools to finish a project? We have them.

As for good sense well maybe you should consult your wife.

Howdy and evening there Michael

That there sure would be a doozie of a step down, thats for sure!!! Many many moons ago, I was at a home that had a door like that, but it was on the second floor of the home. No steps or anything.

Have a good one

Hope their Homeowners Insurance is paid up!  I saw a lot of that when we lived in Northern Va.  The main level had a patio door to nowhere because the seller opted not to build the deck outside.  The basement was a walk out and I guess they opted to use that as their back door exit.  They did put bars over the door in the event someone did open it but still an accident waiting to happen.

The door was functional and led to that sudden last step. I no longer guess what they may be thinking. It gives me a headache...

Hi Michael,

I would love to have heard the explanation for why they omitted the stairs. I am sure it was a great story :)
