It's been a LONG time since I wrote a Silly Saturday post, and now seemed like the perfect time! Yesterday, in one of my posts, I mentioned that last weekend my daughter and I were doing the Cupid Shuffle, and the Put a Ring on it Dance. While I DO NOT recommend that just anyone try the dance to Beyonce's, "Put A Ring On It" song (Quite complicated!), I DO recommend that everyone try the Cupid Shuffle.
I can assure you that if you ever took one of my aerobics classes, the Cupid Shuffle is much easier ;-) But it is a fun way to spend some time with a friend, family, grand-children, or whomever isn't too uptight. It actually IS a "party dance", so it's intentionally simple. But you can "put some stank on it" once you get the hang of it. >=) Oh, and the best part of the Cupid Shuffle is that UNlike the Macarena, this dance actually DOES fit with the music! It's in counts of 4 which fit perfectly with the music phrasing. (I know, I know. I'm the only one who's annoyed when the counts and music phrases don't match.)
So, for this week's Silly Saturday, do the Cupid Shuffle! ENJOY!
