Wow, Gary! That is a very thorough tour of the Rough and Ready Lumber Company in Josephine County! Gold Star to you!
What an awesome article. My grandfather, father, brother and ex-husband worked for Rough & Ready Lumber Company. It's good to see some positive written about anything to do with the timber industry. Thank you.
Thanks Cindy. I came away with the impression that Rough & Ready Lumber is a great place to work!
Thank you for the terrific slide show about Rough and Ready Lumber Co. Watching it here in my office in New York City brought back memories of the 1960s and '70s when my father worked there fulltime, and my brother and I during the summers, along with several Krausses and many other unforgettable people. Congratulations to the current generation and their employees for making such a visionary, exemplary success of this company.
Jim, thank you for your comments. I took the liberty of sending your kind thoughts to Jennifer Krauss Phillippi for the remembrance of you and your family. Are you by any chance related to the Anne Basker, after whom our local auditorium is named?
Best Regards,
