No Pain, No Gain . . . Is it a pain in the _ _ _, really?
About 3 weeks ago, one of my vacant stagings was of a super cute 1950's updated home in a trendy area of Smyrna, GA close to the Vinings area. It was on the market for a couple of weeks prior to contacting Peachtree Home Staging. As it was explained to me, instead of posting photos of the vacant property at the time of listing, they choose to publish some older photos they had from the previous renters living in the home.
Prior to hiring Peachtree Home Staging to stage, they asked if I would provide them with my photos after the staging. They explained that they wanted to give the photos to their agent to update MLS and the other RE sites showing the "staged" presentation vs. the current photos posted.
My response? "Of course! I'll be happy to share my photos with you and your Realtor as part of my staging package."
What I'd like to know is this . . .
Many times I come across this kind of situation, where photos need to be reposted to reflect the new "staged" look.
I see that the photos quickly get updated on MLS, but often they are not updated on Realtor.com, Zillow, Trulia, etc., or even the listing agents site.
Why is that?
My understanding is that updating MLS with verbiage automatically updates all the other sites, but photo's need to be updated on each site individually.
Is it difficult to do, so it just doesn't get done?
Is it a painful, time consuming task to upload the photos to each site individually?
Is it a pain in the _ _ _, really?
Since Realtor.com, Zillow and Trulia have the highest consumer traffic for buyers, I would think the listing agents would be eager to update the photos every place they can. With over 90% of buyers looking on the Internet first for their new home it seems to me that sellers would want and expect the new pictures to be uploaded every place possible.

THX for visiting this post. Please share your thoughts -- doesn't it seem worth it to take the time to update the photos on all of the Real Estate Sites when a property for sale has been updated in its presentation?
Isn't it true that the better the presentation the more likely the showing?
No Pain, No Gain . . . Is it a pain in the _ _ _, really?
