There is a solution for that old kitchen lighting system in a Condominium or Home
This is a great post from Paul Peck about redoing/updating a typical ceiling with grid lighting.
It's a common dilemma among condo owners that I'm sure most of you have seen. The ugly out dated grid lighting system in a Condominium or Home. Whether your trying to sell a condo, trying to give suggestions on remodeling or your looking for an easy update. This process that I have developed will turn any of these eyesore's into a show piece that the buyers will love and their neighbors will envy.
Kitchen Light Before:
After Kitchen Light is removed. It's time for a little drywall and mud work:
After the drywall was repaired, It was ready for me to apply a new and modern texture called Skip Trowel:
After the Skip Trowel was applied we added crown molding around the perimeter of the new kitchen trey ceiling:
Primed and painted with Sherwin Williams Super Paint:
Florecent lights were installed behind the crown molding for an elegant look:
"Life's not about waiting for the storms to pass...It's about learning to dance in the rain."
