Why is Lake Mary, FL ranked #4

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with LemonTree Realty

I have been a resident of this lovely city since 1990. I have seen this area change each year in leaps and bounds. When I first moved here Lake Mary Blvd was 2 lanes and it's now 6 and 8 at some points. We had a gas station, grocery store, BK and MCdonalds now we have everything you could ever imagine even 2 of them within a mile of one another. So lets see why Money magazine thinks this bedroom community is the 4th best place to live in the US.

PS One of the top reasons no Income tax!!! If you are thinking of relocating to this area, let me resident expertise help you find the perfect neighborhood and home. Hjoubran@Remax.net or visit www.centralfloridaluxuryestates.com

I am a resident and love Lake Mary.  I couldn't be happier with my decision to purchase a home in Lake Mary.  My kids enjoy the schools they attend and we have plenty of shopping within minutes of our home.  Traveling isn't bad since we have both I4 and the 417.  If we could only do something with the humidity, it just might be utopia.  Ok, ok, I may be tooting the horn a little too much but I really do like Lake Mary, there are many other cities that would love to change places with us.

Great post.  I lived in Lake Mary off Lake Emma Road in 96/97 before moving to the West Coast.  It was growing then, I'm sure it's even better now.  I think I lived in Huntingdon Ridge.  Does that sound familiar?  It was a Pulte delvelopment and my house backed up to a Lake that I heard dried up after I moved.  I think it was on Vallywood Way.

I compare our summers to everyone elses winters. We run from and air conditioned house to an air conditioned car, to an air conditioned building. Minimizing our time outdoors.

However we dont have to shovel anything out of our driveways, our cars dont rust from the salt trucks (well if you live on the coast make sure you keep your car clean) oh and did I mention we dont have to shovel anything :)

I attended Greenwood and Lake Mary High and I loved my schools and to this day us RAMs are proud to say we came from there. I am planning our reunion as we speak!!

I know exactly where your lived. Yeah wasnt much here then. Actually in high school we used to drive our cars in the pits back there by that neighborhood :) Nothing better for us to do back then.

Didn't they tell you anything about seasonal lakes when you moved here. In July/August when we have tons of rain you have lakefront property all the other months it dries up and becomes a grassy field. haha
