"I ain't nothing but a Winner"

Not my words but the words of my favorite sports figure of all time legendary Paul Bear Bryant of University of Alabama. His success is well documented. This was an answer given by him when asked by a reporter how he would sum up his life. He believed it. It was not arrogance but confidence and his way of life.  What got him to this level started well before as a young man and what is less known but just as impressive is his attitude toward those around him. Any of his former players said their lives were enhanced just by knowing him.  He lived and breathed a positive attitude. Hows yours? Especially today in this tough market. Would your friends view you as a positive person who has undenieable belief in them self. Does your attitude rub off on others? Do people like being around you? Your clients will warm up to you faster if they percieve an attitude of "I ain't nothing but a winner".  People will beat a path to your door. People want to work with winners.

If you need to improve I suggest doing affirmations. Simple statements to build a mindset of positive thoughts that can truly carry you through tough times. It's Okay to tell yourself your great in certain areas. It's Okay to believe in yourself. Do affirmations everyday. Tell yourself everyday that you have something to contribute and others will pick up on it. Arrogance is not Okay but confidence is superb.

If you have a problem it is easier to handle it knowing there is nothing that you can't over come. No problem can slow you down. It's just a bump in the road. You may not even know who you touch and who's life you may changea positive way. Start today be a "Winner".

Good post. I love Bear Bryant!!! And affirmations do work, although you feel weird doing them at first. But that's how it is when you try anything new. Thanks for the post.

John: Thank you for the wonderful little slice of a positive life lived out in the wide open! I didn't even know what the "attitude" thing was until I had someone call it to my attention, saying "you always have a smile on your face--you are always happy!". I had never thought of it but I knew somewhere deep down that things worked better for me than most people around me.---I never had the problems my fellow workers did in my office, for instance. I just took the position that it's not a problem unless i make it one!

Just recently, during this very bad downturn, I had a big deal close and I was giving my thanks to higher forces when it dawned on me; I have got to keep smiling and sending out this positive energy, even though things are so tough....and it works all the time. I keep a smile on my face and I do business regardless of the economy and in my personal life, the same thing applies!!!
