Folks not from Maine, that have been pounding the pavement and suddenly found their live accelerated to 200 miles per hour day in and out make this observation. A lot.

Over the phone, Maine real estate buyers who maine lake party bargeemail, visit utter the same mantra, same tone, same concern.

Why so hectic where they live out of Maine?

People. Too many people and the number crowding in to the urban markets growing.

Pushing, shoving, racing, hot under the collar and the pace picking up faster, leaner, meaner.

And they are not all happy campers. If you moved to a quaint small town outside in the suburbs of where you worked and the taxes a year were $700, the police force five you kind of got used to it.

But then, and we hear it over and over every day, the taxes on the same little shoe box ranch or cracker house size cape are now $7000 and climbing. The police force bloated to a force of 53 and the bubble to live in the area growing dangerously large, on the verge of explosion. Insurances on property, vehicles are thru the roof.

That helps keep things in perspective.

Worries about rapid growth, urban sprawl not going to happen if you study the map.

Not unless "beam me to Aroostook County" kicks in and high speed trains arrive to carry passengers to and fro.

However, we are fortunate to see more and more telecomputers. Folks that with a modem, high speed internet connection bring their same old job with them to Maine. They are all trained. Their bosses don't maine lake kayaker paddlingwant to lose them but may not be able to afford to keep them on their end.

But the over head, expenses to live and quality of life are so different here in Maine.

A sense of connection, community and not worry about your personal safety, or your loved ones being in danger, harm's way.

Crime is lower than the Maine 4th least in the country in northern sections of the state. The scenery is beautiful, free, four season.

How many people do you see in this Maine image above? Exactly.

You can spend time with yourself. To dream standing up, thinking about your life and the direction it should be headed to have some fun. To maine musical summer group bandfeel enrichment, satisfaction, peace and sanity.

That it matters and you do good things for others. Not just about number one, the person you stare, glare at with blood shot eyes, droppy lids each morning.

You know, that person that snarls back at you as you feel pushed, rushed, hurried and never quite where you should be on time. Always behind, worried about your wallet and keeping folks out of it.

So if you feel like you have been Rip Van Wrinkled ripped off, robbed of life the way you had planned it to be, remember Maine. The way life should be. Wake up, start your dream in Maine. Surprise number one, the real estate in Maine is way way cheaper. You won't need a mortgage. Isn't that a start at getting your life turned around, slowed down.

Mary Kay...Was past president of the Chamber of Commerce and yes, one of the hat any REALTOR, real estate agent, broker wears. If you are cranked about where you live, don't keep it a secret. It's also the area the property is in that enticed folks to consider living there, buying there. We are so lucky in Maine in so many ways.

Lisa...let's start small, easy easy. All you need is an acre or two of Maine land to camp on, spend those vacations getting used to the idea. Just knowing you are heading to Maine in two weeks, or for the holidays is peace of mind.

Lisa ... not as cold as you think. FAQ myths busted on Maine weather.

Lizette..don't just blog about the area, show them the events, community rich flavor of where you live, work and play with video. The surfer would rather hear, see from the locals rather than just read, see a few images. Video goes down easy, digests quickly using all the senses, more than just the eyeballs.
