This is an opportunity for us to help those less fortunate. There are many countries, mainly Africa and Asia where there is unsafe drinking water. 1.1 Billion People, mostly children, die from drinking unsafe water with waterborne diseases. Now there is a device that can be used and is mobile. It is called the Live Straw. It lasts about a year. All that is needed are your used cell phones that are hanging around and waiting to be thrown away anyway.
A company called Vestergaard Frandsen has devised this straw to eliminate the fear of drinking from the stream or a bucket. All we need to do is help lifecellproject.org by sending old cell phones and chargers. They recycle these to help buy these straws for the less fortunate. With a small profit it allows them to buy straws and send abroad.
We, at Coldwell Banker, have volunteered to commandeer all the phones and chargers from the area and send them in bulk. Our office is in Westlake Village, see flyer above. If you would like to help out please put to my attention, Ken Barker, or just bring them by.
Please browse the flier that we put together and the short video to help understand the need to help out.
Thanks for your support.

Hi Ken - What a wonderful gadget, and a great cause. Thanks for letting us know about this. I just recycled some old phones to benefit local battered women, but I'll let people know about this.
