9 Comments on Do You Believe In Climate Change?
Dinah - yes, I believe in it! I have always had trouble breathing in humidity, and need to use an inhaler for about 3 weeks out of the year. However, this year, the humidity is so bad, I've been in Urgent Care twice in the last week with severe asthma attacks, and the doctor said that it is unusually bad this year. The number of patients being treated for asthma for the FIRST time this year is at an all-time high.
Pardon the pun....but something is definitely in the air!
I don't believe it is humans who are doing it. Look at the amount of solar activity and the earths temperatures increase when the amount of solar flares increase. I sure don't see us giving up cars and air conditioners, etc.
Dinah - It's definitely warmer--I live in north GA and understand the humidity problem--and according to statistics, the first six months on 2010 were the hottest on record, world-wide. And whether or not we believe man is causing the problem make little difference when the outside temps feel like a sauna. Cleaning up the air will help us all "breathe a bit easier."
Dinah: You are correct about climate change. I was in Portland last week and they were having an excessive heat wave. Here in L.A. we are on the cool down of a week in the triple digits.
I believe if we all do our part we can turn this global warming around.
Hi Dinah, the weather does seem to be wackier at times now. I'm not an expert on climate change, but I do agree with you that we should all do our part on doing a few things and conserve to make this world a better place!
Lina,
I'm glad you have your asthma under control and yes, climate change is REAL. You make an excellent point, there is something definitely in the air, smog & gases, just to name a couple. When you really think about climate change, the government and each of us individually, needs to get started right away initiating solutions, we have no time to waste. It is literally starting to make people sick. Thanks for visiting my blog and taking the time to post comments.
John.
I know we all have different views regarding climate change and that's okay. The solar activity issue needs to be looked at and studied closer. It would be hard for us to give up cars and airconditioning, however just using them in moderation would help to clean up and make this planet a better place. Thanks for checking out my blog and sharing your thoughts on climate change.
John M.,
Yes, I totally agree, it is hotter than it has ever been. Thanks for sharing that statistic and posting comments.
Richard,
Yes, just doing what we can in our own day to day activities can help the environment. I agree, I believe we can make a difference. Thanks for posting comments.
Tamara,
Yes, the weather has been wackier lately. The ice has been melting in places that it normally doesn't in the world. Climate change is no joke. Excellent point, just doing what we can to live responsibly in relation to our planet is a great start to such a complex situation. Thanks for stopping by and posting comments.
