Bob, This is a good thing (in my opinion) for our area. We were the only dry county in the surrounding area, so I think this will be a great opportunity to bring in new restaurants, etc.

Where do we stand now. It's 8.23.2010. Have any store started service beers/wine? What about new chains moving in and opening up shop?

None of the stores have started selling beer or win yet, it will probably another 60 days before the county begins issuing licenses.
