Why, Oh Why, Did M&M's put Pretzels in Its Candies?

Don't mind me.  I'm just having some late-in-the-day musings about M&M's.

M&M's

In recent years, these favorite candies have come to be available in more than just plain and peanut.  First came the other nuts - almonds, peanut butter.  Then dark chocolate made an appearance (think Star Wars).  Soon holiday-colored candies so that a body could have a full candy dish for every season.  Then mint - one of my favorites.  And have you tried the coconut - hard to find but so pleasing when discovered on the candy shelf at the supermarket.

But now M&M's are available in Pretzel.  Milk chocolate wrapped around a fresh, crunchy pretzel nugget and sealed in that classic candy coating shell.  They're lightweight and lower fat than the M&M's that contain nuts, and they make great stress-eating food.  Just pop them in and crunch.  Sweet and salty pretzel M&M's are perfect.

I can usually resist all the others, but this new M&M has got me worried.  I simply can not resist!

That's just what I need Kathryn, more temptation, especially when you can put a "it's better for you" spin on it! :)

Dan:  Yeah - the lower fat is really a way to justify eating them.

That actually sounds pretty tasty, but I'll take the old school Red Hots any day.  Now see what you did... all of a sudden I have an urge for Red Hots.  :)

Cory and Michelle:  Red Hots!  Now that is a cornerstone of the candy world.

Two great tastes that taste great together! This could be bigger than Reece's Peanut Butter Cups!

Kathryn - I like to munch when I'm driving and keep a supply of peanut butter filled pretzels; now I'll have another option.

I guess it is for those days when you don't feel like a nut! Oh, that the other chunk of chocolate...

I'm very much a traditionalist when it comes to my M&M's. Just plain chocolate and the candy coating and I'm quite satisfied.

Craig:  Now that's a challenge.  Reese's PB Cups rule the PB world.

John:  I wonder how chocolate-covered peanut-butter filled pretzels would taste.  Mmmmm.

Michael:  Mounds and Almond Joy - also hard to resist.

Russel:  Keeping it simple.  I too enjoy the original Plain M&Ms.  I still remember that slogan:  "Melt in your mouth, not in your hand."

I love the coconut ones, they have certainly become my favorite ones! Less messy than a mounds bar, but oh so tasty!

I LOVE most kinds of M&M's, but this is one of my new faves too!  Have you tried coconut ones?  Also AWESOME!  Now I want to run to the store and get some.  LOL
