San Diego Convention CenterOne of San Diego's largest annual conventions begins tomorrow and plays through Sunday at the San Diego Convention Center downtown. The convention has been sold out since for a year now, so unless you have a ticket, you won't be getting in. However, you can go downtown, eat in the Gaslamp Quarter or sit at the Trolley stops, and do some people watching, which is what I'm going to do. There is no telling what you'll see.

SpidermanAttendance at Comic-Con this year is expected to surpass 130,000 attendees, exhibitors, and vendors interested in anything and everything related to comic books, fantasy, and science fiction.

You'll not only find figures from the past, like Superman, Spiderman, and Vulcans, but you'll find figures from the future that you don't know about yet.

The latest and the greatest from, and for, film, television, animation, and video games are always there.

Traffic is always heavy in front of the Convention Center, as well as at Seaport Village and the Gaslamp Quarter during Comic-Con, so if you're heading downtown anywhere near those three areas, the San Diego Trolley might be the best method of travel. There are Trolley stations throughout the downtown area, including four within walking distance of the Convention Center, as indicated on the Trolley map below:

Jim... Sounds like quite a convention! I bet you could see some interesting stuff just being in the area. Great tips for people in San Diego this week.

Hey, everyone!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

I've been very busy, but today I'm trying to follow up on these older posts like this one to see if anyone had any questions or if I really need to respond to anyone's comments.

I will read all the comments and respond to any that need a response, but since this post is rather old, rather than making comments here in my post to each and every one of you, I'll just let everyone know that I have read all the comments and if there are any questions, I'll answer those in comments below this one. Otherwise I'll simply post this comment and then head over to your blogs soon to visit and do some reading and commenting. I hope you'll have a nice welcome mat out for me!

Don't forget to let your cat come out to play with all the other ActiveRain kitties. Your cat-friendly dogs can come, too!

If you need a great cat book, get yourself a copy of Peg Silloway's The Cat Lover's Book of Days.

Hope all is well with everyone.
