COLONOSCOPY, UGh but IMPORTANT!!!! Debbie Aldrich 801-870-0606

Colonoscopy,  I had mine today.

I tried to be brave and not have anesthisia and made it 3/4 of the way through my   Colonoscopy Procedure but with scare tissue from 2 c-sections it became to uncomfortable so I got a good rest and went to sleep.  All in all not a bad experience, I could't eat for a day, drank stuff mixed with tropical punch and stayed close to a bathroom for 24 hrs, other wise not bad.

As much as we hate these kind of check ups they are important and I'm squeaky clean!  I have been checked almost head to toe in the last few months, it's that time in my life.

I had great medical care at Dr. Steven G Desautels, MD - Gastroenterology - Sandy, UT

Don't wait and get checked out.

This may not be the greatest topic but important, Just Do It!!!!

My first one was HORRIBLE because the "prep" was very bad.  Second one earlier this year had aq different prep that I added water to and drank at specified times and it was a piece of cake....

The prep is the worst part. The last time I had one my doctor told me he didn't recognize me. But when he inserted the camera he said, "now I recognize you".  True story, a doctor with a sense of humor.

Debbie I have one every two years, but I have them put me to sleep.  I don't look forward to them, but they beat the alternative.

Hi Debbie, agree, not fun, but important.  Also agree what the others have said about the prep being the worst part.  The procedure for me was short and painless when I was knocked out.

Welcome to the colonoscopy club.  I had to have my first one in my early 20's and I agree the prep is the worst part.  If I would have known you were going in I would have warned ya about the last part of the procedure.  The majority of people need the anethesia, the last part has too many tight corners to manuever around making it necessary to take a little nap to get thru it.  I'm glad everything went well.  Now its done and you are golden.  Welcome back the AR. You haven't been as active posting as you were in the past.  You've been missed.  You've worked so hard, keep it going you'll see results.  Have a happy pioneer holiday weekend! I'm off to Washington state.  Best wishes
