I didn't know Tarpon Springs was a Greek town. I would go there just to try all the restaurants... I LOVE Greek food. We don't get much of that over here.
Georgina - I used to live in Tarpon Springs for years!!! Now I live about 3 miles down the road to the south of there so I still get to go to the restaurants! I LOVE the food too!!!! Mediterranean food is my favorite food in the entire world! EVERYTHING is SO good!!!!!!
Oh my goodness - Greek Food! I absolutely love it! We have a Greek Food Festival here in Sacramento each year, and I often look forward to attending. Nice pictures, Barbara-Jo.
Myrl - thanks for stopping by and commenting!
Barara Jo, Great post and the pictures!! Wow. What a great place. I have visited there. I love Florida and spent a few winters in the Keys years back. Another fav stretch of mine is between Tampa and St. Pete. along the water. You're south of that right?
Charles - Actually I am north of that - see map:
Interstate 275 goes directly into Tampa - Tarpon Springs is north of Tampa. Let me know when you are in the area again, I would love to show you around!!!
BTW, Tarpon Springs actually covers from where it is shown on the map all the way to the Gulf of Mexico - the city itself is along the Gulf!!!
