Chicago-area sales up for 12 straight months

While prices haven't caught up yet, Chicago-area sales came in higher in June 2010 versus 2009. This was the 12th straight time the most recent month outperformed the previous years.'

According to Crain's Chicago Business, sales of single-family homes and condominiums in the nine-county Chicago region rose more than 27% to 9,085, compared to 7,140 homes sold in June 2009.

Median price in Chicagoland, according to the same article, dipped 1.2% in June to $207,500, compared to $210,000 in June 2009.
